In today’s world, there are so many options. You can get whatever you want, whenever you want it. The kind of clothes, food, hairstyle, music, coffee, and even car insurance that you pick can literally be like grabbing for stars in the middle of a clear night sky.

So when you’re doing business on the internet, do you expect things to be any different? In fact, it’s even worse online because internet marketers know you can so easily click away from their message. So they’re constantly competing for your attention, and you sometimes have thousands or millions of websites to choose from.

So how do you pick a marketing system to generate leads and upfront income with? How do you pick a network marketing company to build residual income with? How do you pick a team to work with? How do you choose an auto-responder?

Well, honestly, it can be a daunting task. And if you are of a wavering personality type, you may find yourself questioning your decisions and trying new things all the time.

And here’s the problem:

Your indecision is costing you a lot of money and a lot of time. Believe me. I know from experience.

So how do you combat this time-killing, money-wasting, wavering marketing disease? You do have to do some research, but you also have to learn a little from experience. But to cut down on this research and experience time, you take recommendations from people who’ve already done it.

So my advice to you is find someone you trust and either talk to them personally or just do some research to see what they are using.

I got a call today from a tele-network marketer. I understand why people do the whole cold-calling thing, but this guy totally sucked. First of all, I think this guy’s been calling me for weeks now. But when I get the old “unavailable” number on my caller ID, I do what most people do when they don’t want to be bothered. I let the phone ring.

So today I got sick of seeing that unavailable number. Mind you, I don’t get a lot of calls on my home line. I have a cell phone for personal calls, and I have a phone number through Skype on my computer for my business calls. So in order to end these “unavailable calls” on my home phone, I decided to pick it up the call today.

“Hello?” I asked. The caller on the line replied, “Hi Jason. This is … (I don’t remember his name. I kind of wish I did so I could find him and let him know what a jackass he can be on the phone). And then he said, “Are you still with Carbon Copy Pro?”

I answered, “I was never with Carbon Copy Pro.” So he said, “That’s weird, I have you on my list as being from Carbon Copy Pro.”

I guess this was his way of making small talk. But I had no time for this. My wife is sick. And I’m trying to take care of her and be a good husband and don’t want to deal with this guy who obviously doesn’t care if he’s annoying and bothersome or not.

So I said “I’m not really interested” in order to let him know that I want to get off the phone, but not in a rude way (that’s not my style) or anything. Just wanted to let him know that I wasn’t interested in what he had to sell me.

So he replied: “You’re not interested in Carbon Copy Pro? But I’m not in Carbon Copy Pro.”

And I said, “I’m not interested in Carbon Copy Pro.”

So he quickly and not-so-politely replied, “I don’t like your attitude!” and hung up on me.

I just kind of laughed. It was kind of annoying, but I have more sympathy than disdain for this guy.

You see, I was once in this guy’s boat. I too, once was a guy who called people who didn’t want to be called. I was also once a starter of awkward, annoying, and pointless conversations.

I never hated what I did as much as I did when I cold called network marketing and home business leads. No matter what your lead source tells you, these people DON’T want to hear from you. They DON’T want to hear about your opportunity.

And the other reason I have sympathy for this guy is because I know he is kind of limited in his choices of marketing. He can either:
1) Approach his friends and family
2) Find people in the community
3) Or Market Online

I don’t think I have to get into the negatives of 1 or 2, so obviously choice #3 is the only one left.

And the greatest part of internet marketing is that every person I talk to actually wants to talk to me. I don’t know about you, but I never want to talk to people who don’t want to talk with me. I want to have enjoyable conversations with people who want to have them with me.

And that’s what internet and attraction marketing marketing is all about.

OK. Now that we know that we want to market online. The question now becomes: how do we market online?

The simple answer is…

Right here.

Enjoy. And take this extremely seriously. This is exactly what you should be using to build and fund your network marketing organization until you are making at least $10,000 a month.

It’s also what you should be using to train your downline. It is everything you will ever need for marketing.

It’s really hard to figure everything out on your own – no matter what you’re doing. You may be able to do it eventually, but it’s going to take you a very long time.

That’s why it helps immensely to find a teacher or a system that will show you the ropes. This is true for anything in life – even if you’re figuring out right from wrong. Some people study the bible, the Koran, the Te Ching, etc. These books are almost like a guide to life – a system for living the right way.

So if you’re marketing online, would you just go and try and figure out ad copy, marketing tactics, follow-up, website design, all the technical knowledge, all on your own? That would take you years.

So what do you do instead? You find a worthy guide, a worthy teacher that you have faith can lead you in the right direction. It will save you so much time and money and get you into positive cash flow a lot faster than figuring it out yourself.

Keep It Real

It’s easy to be a phony on the internet. Nobody is there to call you out. Especially when you’re first starting out and it feels like you’re just talking to yourself when you post things online.

But there is no point in trying to be something you’re not. It doesn’t work in face to face contact, and it doesn’t work online either. You have to believe in what you’re doing. You have to be true to yourself.

You start to realize this when you start making and posting videos. It is a lot easier to see when someone is “faking it” on video. But you don’t want to fake it in your writing either.

People appreciate it and can connect with you better when you’re real with them. And what’s cool is that you start attracting like-minded people when you follow your heart and your own mind. Like-minded people are the people you’re really gonna’ enjoy working with.

“You might as well be yourself – no one else is gonna’ be you” (me).

This is My “Home”

Welcome to my internet “Home.” This is where you will learn a little about me and a lot about marketing on the internet.

I’m still working on putting everything together, but if you surf around the site a little bit you will definitely gain some knowledge about how to market the right way – without wasting a lot of time with trial and error.

After all, when someone comes to your home, don’t you usually give them some free stuff, like a drink or some chips and salsa?

I hope you take action with what you learned here and your financial situation and your life is at least a little better for it.

Cheers!
